Neuro Developmental Therapy (NDT) is given considering the limitations of the child and according to the principles of neuro-development of a child in a play based manner with the full involvement of the parents and therapists. NDT is provided to facilitate normal motor development and postural reactions through handling and facilitation techniques while abnormal movement patterns & reflex activity are inhibited. The therapist adjusts the amount of handling and challenges the child to attain more normal postures and function as postural control increases. For a young child, acquiring the skills of mobility makes the child learn new things ; hence any child who can learn should be made to move. This is the essential principle we use in all our activities for NDT in Yuvakrishna Development Hub. We request active participation of caregivers especially mothers for this programme. Regular independent assessment will be made for noting the improvement.
